The Perito Moreno, the Upsala and the Spegazzini all lie in Los Glaciares National Park, and the national park administration charges for entry. The boat operators do not collect this fee for you. Their listings either put it under not included or do not mention it, so the pass is something you sort out yourself, online before the day or at the gate on the road from El Calafate.

ARS 50,000

General day pass, valid from 1 June 2026, according to the tariff page of the Argentine government (page last updated 16 July 2026, checked 10 October 2026). Children up to 6 enter free.

What each listing says about the entrance

One trip from each port, plus the listings that say nothing about the fee. “Not incl.” means the listing names the entrance as not included; “Not stated” means it is silent.

Visitors from abroad pay the general rate. The student rate needs an Argentine DNI plus proof of enrolment at an Argentine institution, so it does not cover foreign student cards. Retired people with an Argentine DNI enter free, and so do children up to 6. The same rates apply at the El Chaltén entrance of the park.

Two days at the glacier

The national parks with an entrance fee give 50 percent off the second day, valid for 72 hours from the first entry. If you plan the walkways on one day and a boat or ice trek on the next, the second day costs half if it falls within those 72 hours. The three-day Flexipass costs as much as two day passes and only pays off with a third day.

Buying the pass

The government page links the online sale at ventaweb.apn.gob.ar; the pass is also sold at pnlosglaciares.ar. At the ticket office or at the entry point you show your passport or DNI so that your category can be checked, so carry it on the day even with an online ticket. One Todo Glaciares reviewer bought the pass online after the operator sent the link. On the gate side, the Tangol listing asks for cash in Argentine pesos, Gray Line says the fee is paid on arrival, and reviewers of the Glaciares Gourmet cruise describe a queue at the gate.

The two exceptions in the listings

The north face boat does not mention the fee, but it leaves from Puerto Moreno below the walkways, so you pass the gate before you board. The kayak trip near town does not mention it either; it stays on the lake close to El Calafate, outside the park. Visiting only the walkways by bus or land tour? The pass works the same way; the entrance fee page of El Calafate Day Tours covers it from the land side.

Two reviews from the Todo Glaciares day

One traveller bought the pass online from the link the operator sent. The other found the day too expensive for what it offers; the park pass adds to that total, so count it in.

“Good communication from the tour operator and we bought the National Park entrance ticket online beforehand which they sent the link for. …”
Joanne · United Kingdom · October 2025 Todo Glaciares · Solo Patagonia
“was a great day but it’s way too expensive for what it is.”

FAQ

Is the park entrance included in any boat trip?

No. Every boat trip and ice trek on this site either lists the national park entrance as not included or does not mention it. You buy the pass yourself.

Can I buy the Los Glaciares pass online?

Yes. The Argentine government page links the online ticket sale, and you can also pay at the park entrance. Carry your passport, because the category is checked at the gate.

Does the gate accept cards?

The government page does not say which payment methods the gate accepts. Some listings ask for cash in Argentine pesos, so either buy online or carry pesos.

Does a second day in the park cost less?

Yes. The second day costs half, valid for 72 hours from the first entry. A multi-day Flexipass is also available.

Do children pay the park fee?

Children up to 6 enter free. The government page lists no separate rate for older children.
